Lovely quiet location. A very characteristic building. The rooms weren't large, but big enough for our single overnight stay, with a comfy bed and nice shower. The staff were very nice and helpful. Although a small evening menu, the food was excellent and a good experience. Breakfast was equally of a high standard, especially the coffee. It is a lovely garden to wander around with great views over the fields. The swimming pool looked inviting but we did not use it. We will use the hotel again when in the region.

Lovely setting and gardens. Beautifully renovated rooms and exterior. Buffet breakfast was first rate and good value for money. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was closed on the Sunday we visited but the reception sent recommended local restaurants by email. Could perhaps do with fridges in room and possibly a mini bar/honesty bar to cope with Sunday when the Hotel bar is closed.

A beautifully renovated collection of farm buildings just on the outskirts of Chatellerault. The staff spoke English and could not have been more helpful or charming. We had dinner there which was excellent, flavoursome, plentiful and great value for money. We were only passing through so didn’t have time to enjoy any facilities but I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it. A truly delightful stay.

This is a beautiful spot in a lovely old building. Rooms are decent size and clean with a good shower. Not all the rooms are old though. Grounds are lovely with outside eating space. Dinner needs booking on arrival and menu was good local food but not fancy. Breakfast was great with local products for €14 each. A great stopping off point between Calais and Bordeaux and Northern Spain.

A delightful location, full of history. The room in the pigeon loft was spacious and comfortable. We wandered around the lovely gardens and ate fresh peaches and apples from the trees. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming and were happy to talk about the property and gardens.
